Fragments of Trees

… and what happened to all those tree prints that didn’t quite work?  Well I decided I could cut them into squares and arrange them to produce two collaged prints.  The one here was reproduced as a Moo card and the colour is slightly enhanced by the digital process.

Walk through the Woods 2011

This journey wasn’t an easy one and I tried several variations of this print along the way.  In the end I felt this two plate collograph was the one that worked, even though I’d also  tried out a version with a winter sun and a small girl walking through the wood.  Later versions had a distant view of Wentworth Castle Gardens, but this one remains my favourite.

January Walk 2011

A winter of heavy snow gave me a subject for my next print.  This time a collograph print .

Walking the Line – 2010/11

A series of prints based on walking in the hills.  I’ve always been interested in creating prints in series where colour and texture change with each inking.  In this series one set was produced from a dry-point on perspex and for the second set I produced a drypoint plate and over a collograph plate.
